UK Council for Clinical Communication in Undergraduate Medical Education Conference

The UK Council for Clinical Communication (UKCCC) in Undergraduate Medical Education supports and promotes effective teaching in clinical communication.  We are delighted to announce that it will be hosting the upcoming national conference in undergraduate clinical communication teaching, led jointly with the Section of Clinical Communication in the School of Health and Medical Sciences at City St. George’s, University of London.

Course Description

This two-day conference is aimed at all involved in the delivery of undergraduate clinical communication education including tutors, patient educators and students. While the emphasis is on undergraduate medical education, our experience is that the day will also be very helpful for those who are involved in postgraduate training.

The theme of this conference is ‘Moving Towards Mastery – Learning from Miscommunication’ and we invite you to share your learning from your stories on the journey towards mastery.

The intention is to share innovative and best practice within UK clinical communication education. In the past, participants have enjoyed a range of educational material from research presentations to developmental workshops and have shared innovative teaching ideas. Work in progress as well as completed work is welcome.

UKCCC Members 

There are 4 UKCCC member tickets for each school and these can be a combination of staff members, students and/or simulated patients.

Dinner on Monday evening is free for members but must be selected at check-out.  

Please make sure to select the appropriate UKCCC Member 2day/Monday/Tuesday option so we may register your attendance accordingly.

Registration for the conference closes on Saturday 8 March, 2025.

'Early Bird Discount' for Non UKCCC Members up until the 15th of February 2025

Please note that there are a few options for registration to the Conference. We are offering a 'Early Bird Discount' for Non UKCCC Members up until the 15th of February 2025. Please make sure that if you book before this date, to select the Early Bird option.

If you would like to attend the dinner on Monday evening, please remember to select “Dinner” at check out.
